OPCC Impact Awards

Gloucestershire Constabulary and the OPCC hold an awards ceremony to celebrate the hard work of officers, staff and the public in keeping people safe and making our communities better places to live.

The categories are:
The Martin Surl Award for Excellence: This award recognises a sustained effort or work to make a positive difference in a range of areas, including community engagement, education, raising awareness, helping to keep Gloucestershire’s communities safe and a demonstrable contribution to delivery of the Police and Crime Plan.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Spotlight Award: This award recognises that the nominee(s) has/have raised awareness about a particular issue leading to a significant achievement or a positive impact within the Constabulary or OPCC in line with the Police and Crime Plan.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Youth Spotlight Award: This award recognises that the young person has/have raised awareness about a particular issue leading to a significant achievement or a positive impact within the Constabulary or OPCC in line with the Police and Crime Plan.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Community Hero(oes) Award: This award recognises the work of a person or persons making a significant contribution to serving Gloucestershire’s communities and who goes that extra mile to contribute to the work of the Police and Crime Plan.
The Police and Crime Commissioner’s Pride in Partnership Award: This award recognises effective partnership-working between one or more organisations or communities delivering a one-off or regular event or ongoing service which has contributed to the delivery of the Police and Crime Plan.
