Thriving Communities grants have been created to support not-for-profit organisations and community groups who provide activities and support that help people stay well, do the things they enjoy and remain living independently at home for as long as possible.
During 2019-2020 we want to invest in new projects or existing projects that are innovative and make a positive difference to your community by giving support to projects that:
  • Help to promote social engagement and  create connections,
  • Build confidence and provide activities, social groups and learning opportunities in communities
  • Support /empower people to act for themselves
  • Create meeting spaces that are safe and accessible for all
Organisations that are funded will be required to monitor and evaluate the outcomes of their project.
Grants will be awarded up to £7500 – the numbers of applications are not restricted, but it is unlikely you will receive support for more than one than one project
Projects that will be delivered in Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Gloucester will be considered by a locality panel so please specify on your application where you will be based.
Countywide projects and those taking place in Tewkesbury, Stroud and Cotswolds will be considered by a countywide panel.  In all cases please specify where the project will be delivered.
To request an application form please send an email specifying where your project will be delivered to thrivingcommunities@gloucestershire.gov.uk
Please talk to your Know Your Patch Hosts if you have any questions at www.knowyourpatch.org.uk or email thrivingcommunities@gloucestershire.gov.uk.
