The VCS Alliance wants to bring the sector together to discuss the National Lottery Community Fund’s Growing Great Ideas Programme
The VCS Alliance wants to bring the sector together to discuss the National Lottery Community Fund’s Growing Great Ideas Programme. This programme provides an amazing platform to look differently at how the sector delivers services, how the sector organises itself and the need to always keep our beneficiaries at the centre of service design.
We want to pull together organisations to look at whether Gloucestershire can coordinate a county-wide bid, discuss priority areas and look at developing a project team to drive this work forwards.
Through this project, the National Lottery Community Fund is looking differently at how they provide funding. This gives us an opportunity to think creatively about how we work together and what we want for our county.
In the session we will present information about what the Growing Great Ideas Fund is and the value of Gloucestershire coordinating a bid. We will then move into breakout rooms to look at what the strategic priorities for Gloucestershire might be.
The session will be facilitated by Julie Close, who has 25 years’ experience in the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise sector, as a community development worker and then CEO of a locality based organisation. She brings considerable experience in:
- developing partnerships
- asset based approaches
- securing major investment including from the Community Fund
